Here is my RL sukka

In case you start thinking I also have such an elaborate building somewhere here in or on my humble 3-room apartment! It is just the balcony, walls on three sides,( very practical), but the real important bit is that it has an open roof, i.e.no other balcony over it, so I can use it as a Sukka.
Since the invention of the bamboo mats life has become rather easy, fortunately. I shudder to think of trying to get at branches etc to put upon the roof. And no, we are NOT allowed to steal them from the community parks, my dears!
You can see the sun slanting in- the balcony is on the west, it is sunset now right here

  1. Yes I did wonder about the materials ;) But I did not think you'd be sneeking off to the Vondelpark under the cover of darkness stealing branches from trees, haha. Lucky you to have a balcony which is just right for making a sukka.

  3. Thank ou Josje and Pan. It looks really something in the sun. Unfortunately, today was rainy, so it looked less well:-)

  5. Elly, that looks the perfect place to sit and relax with the kitties or a book - or some minis even vbg! I had no idea what a sukka was, but it is wonderful. Lucky you to have no balcony above you.

  6. Okay, I was reading the posts backwards - so now I know that the sukka is for a religious festival. Sorry! But your balcony is still a wonderful place to sit with the kitties and a book or some minis vbg.
